Reactive power

I was learning circuits and it asked about whether reactive power is inductive or capacitive for the problem. So i looked it up and apparently reactive power is inductive - capacitive. So if the reactive power is negative then the power is more capacitive. If I'm interpreting it wrong, please correct me. Thanks!
