I came across a research programming language, Jeeves, related to privacy, which led me to the author's blog post about privacy and stalking viewers. A link on the blog post linked to a WSJ widget which tells people who browse to that page some of the various information that people expose just by visiting a webpage. Here's the widget for anyone interested: http://datatransparency.wsj.com/
It was a very disturbing realization. Privacy is mentioned all the time but it's a hard hit to see it happen personally.
