I finally understand countersteering. I knew I did it, otherwise I wouldn't be alive today going all those different speeds, but it wasn't until I saw this video:
that I finally understood countersteering because all the other videos I had watched explained how to do it and how it helps but they had never showed me exactly how it helps, like how it is shown in this video. Plus, now I finally understand that it's a momentary thing, not a prolonged turn action. In fact, after watching this video, I realized that I do it on my way home, off of the off-ramp.
Anyway, I encountered this video in thread in The Garage on BARF. It was posted by the user, rodr. I am thankful to him for posting it up. :D
